About the event
This day-retreat on Sunday 12th June is being held in the solitude and tranquillity of the Coln Valley, near Cheltenham and Cirencester.
There will be yoga to awaken and revitalise your body and mind; relaxation to allow your body to deeply rest, meditation to feel refreshed and rejuvenated at the end of the morning. An afternoon guided walk in the solitude of the Coln Valley (3 hours allows for stops along the way). A level walk requires a moderate level of fitness.
Venue The Coln Rogers Village Hall is situated in an idyllic rural setting overlooking the pretty River Coln. Completed in 2015, with an CPRE award (Campaign to Protect Rural England), has a beautiful indoor oak flooring and bi-fold doors opening onto the verandah overlooking the river Coln.
Location Coln Rogers is a village situated in the Cotswolds half-way between Northleach and Cirencester and 30-minute drive from Cheltenham.
What to expect Arrive early to settle and enjoy a welcome cup of tea on the veranda; absorbing your natural surroundings and feel the pace of life slowing down. Our morning begins with yoga; which aims to promote an overall sense of wellbeing; to awaken and revitalise your body and mind. Followed by a guided relaxation to allow your body and mind to deeply rest. Then a seated meditation to feel rejuvenated at the end of your morning.
We will break for lunch around 12.45pm. If the weather is fine we can sit outside on the verandah or picnic tables overlooking the green fields of the valley.
Please note: Lunch is 'vegetarian bring and share'. We will need to wash and clear up our plates before we leave for our walk. There will be time to get changed to be ready to begin our walk at 2pm. Aiming to return from our walk around 4.30pm - 5pm.

Is this for me?
Dru yoga is a gentle, yet potent, style of yoga using sequences and postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation exercises. Suitable for all levels of ability, as postures and sequences can be tailored to suit individual ability. No previous yoga experience needed. The walk
There is a choice of circular walks in the area about 4 - 5 miles - 2.5 - 3 hours.
One leaves from the village hall and meanders through the peaceful Coln Valley bottom, passing through two hidden Cotswold villages; crossing fields, along quiet country lanes and the banks of the gentle flowing River Coln. There is a low style towards the end of the walk. A moderate level of fitness is required.
We may take a short drive to begin our walk from another village.
There are no facilities on the walk, just what nature provides, so please respect our environment and take your litter home.

What to bring/wear
• Yoga mat and shawl/blanket for relaxation.
• If you have a meditation cushion or similar then please bring this too.
• Wear stretchy clothing for yoga.
• Bring change of clothes for the walk.
• Please wear strong walking shoes.
• A waterproof jacket, in case of a light shower.
• Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.
• Bottle of water or flask.
• Small day pack.
• Bring something vegetarian to share for lunch.
