About The Event
Are you ready to create new healthy habits and live your life from a place of balance?
This workshop introduces you to digestive fire, known as ‘agni’ in Ayurveda, one of the world's oldest health systems. We will delve into the nutritional values of foods, the choices we make and how this serves our ‘friendly bacteria’. Learn how to rebalance your body through specific yoga postures, relaxation techniques and positive lifestyle choices.
Yoga for Digestive Health ~ Karan Walsh, Yoga Therapist.
“Quite often life’s challenges can upset our body systems, which can play havoc on our digestion. If this goes unaddressed we can often find ourselves in a repeating cycle of disharmony. According to Ayurveda, we can live our lives from a place of balance, given a daily cycle of when best to eat, sleep and making healthy lifestyle choices to help keep our digestive health in balance."
Understanding Your Gut ~ Karen Wilson, The Whole Food Chef.
"Bacteria and other microbes (including fungi and viruses) are often thought of as sources of disease, but in fact many play an essential role in keeping you healthy. Your body contains trillions of microbes, most of which are beneficial. The most dense microbe population is in your gut, where they play a critical role in digestion, immune function and weight regulation. What you eat can quickly change your microbes, but are you eating the right foods to help your good gut bacteria?"
